Children's Ministry
At SouthGate Church, we have a commitment to passing on the flame of faith to the next generation. Our Children's Ministry helps kids get excited about serving God and learning more about Him. From the nursery to Children's Church, every Sunday the kids get the chance to grow in their faith through God's Word and excellent teaching.
Our Nursery is for children ages 0-two and a half and is available the entire Sunday morning service. It provides a loving, peaceful, and safe environment for babies and toddlers to experience God's love.
All other children join us in the sanctuary for praise and worship with their families. The kids then go to their Sunday School classes during the sermon. We have three classes:
1. Two and a half through four years old. This delightful class has been taught by David and Raelene James for many years. The children begin Bible learning and experience the joy of worshiping and praying to God.
2. Five years old through First Grade. In this class, the kids continue Bible learning, joyful worship, prayer and are provided an opportunity to receive the gift of salvation.
3. Second Grade through Fifth Grade. Ken and Katie Weaver are
outstanding teachers who have led this class for many years. The children are given the opportunity for salvation, and learn what it means to demonstrate commitment to Christ. Many subjects are touched, and discussed with the hope of building discipleship in this pivotal stage of development.

Each ministry exists to support and further the vision and mission of the church, namely helping each person grow in Jesus Christ as well as sharing Christ with others.
