Outreach and Discipleship
Jesus called everyday people to come and be His followers. At SouthGate we want to be a part of Jesus’ mission by calling others to follow Him. We realize that Christians as well as non-Christians need to be discipled. Perhaps you are looking or searching for a meaningful relationship with Christ.
Quarterly, SouthGate Church sponsors outreach projects that are open to anyone. They are times to serve and share the love of Christ with others. Why not also join us as we visit a nursing home or minister to someone at the hospital. SouthGate Church believes that Jesus reached out to people physically, emotionally and spiritually and we seek to do the same.
At SouthGate there are opportunities to find mentoring, counseling, and/or equipping sessions such as: Sunday messages and our T.R.E.E. training classes. We also promote spiritual gifts surveys to identify gifts and assist people in operating in those gifts.
We also believe that small group ministry is an excellent way to support this discipleship passion. The level of support, encouragement and accountability that comes from a small group is a strong tool of discipleship.
