Pastor Kevin McGinley - Senior Pastor
Pastor Kevin McGinley, known as "P.K." by many, has pastored SouthGate Church for over 13 years. He and his wife Cindy have been married for over 25 years and have seven children. His passion is to introduce people to Christ and to see people grow in their faith.
Pastor Kevin gave his life to Christ in 1979 as a sophomore in college. He felt called to the ministry right away. He met Cindy through Campus Crusade for Christ while attending the University of Northern Colorado. They both graduated from UNC in 1981 - Kevin with a degree in Communications and Journalism, Cindy with a degree in Nursing. They were married in August of 1981. Kevin worked as News Director at KIIX Radio in Fort Collins while Cindy worked at Poudre Valley Hospital. Following a missions trip to the Fiji Islands, they began attending the church in 1982. Kevin was ordained an elder in 1985 and a pastor in 1987. He became the associate pastor the church in 1989 when he came on staff part-time. Kevin was made the senior pastor in 1993.
Kevin and Cindy have four boys - Timothy, Joshua, Jonathan, and Matthew. They also have three adopted daughters - Rachel from Viet Nam, Sarah from Korea, and Anna from China. Kevin and Cindy have a passion for adoption, especially international adoption. They love spending time with their children and watching them grow and play sports. Cindy also is Children’s ministry coordinator at SouthGate Church. Their younger children attend Heritage Christian Academy. Kevin is the Athletic Director and coaches basketball at Heritage.
